Community Speaking

As citizens become more concerned about criminal activity and how such activity can be curtailed, the department has recognized the need to respond to their quest for knowledge about crime (how crimes occur, why they occur and how to prevent being victims).

To this end, the Rhea County Sheriff's Department has an open policy of being available to provide information to any group of citizens, regardless of size, who request our attendance at their meetings. The department regularly provides speakers for civic groups, church meetings, community meetings and businesses throughout Rhea County to discuss crime prevention, safety and security.
